Current Series – Welcome to the Fam

What is Lifeline? Is it a program? A ministry of Ada Bible Church? A place to get candy and laugh and play games? Is it a group of people? Well—it’s all of those things, but more than anything we want this place to feel like a family. A family where we celebrate each other, serve each other, and remind each other who we really are. So whether you have been here for years or this is your first time here, welcome to the fam.

This week’s bottom line: You are welcomed into God’s family

Here are some questions to help you create conversation around the night’s topic. Remember that you don’t have to make it through all of these questions! They are simply a tool to help you facilitate conversation.

1: What word do you relate to the most right now and why? Change / Pressure / New

2: What does being a part of God’s family mean to you?

3: Have the group choose a word to discuss | Change / Pressure / New

Change: What change in your life is the most stressful right now and why?

Pressure: What area in your life do you feel the most pressure to be like everyone else and why?

New: What are you hoping to learn this year in Lifeline about Jesus?

4: Have someone in the group read Ephesians 1:4-5 | Which statement in the verses sticks out to you the most and why?

5: What can you do in your personal life to remember that God welcomes you into His family?

6: What can we do as a group to help each other remember who we are this year?

Announcements:

Bring Your Bibles!

We would love for students to bring their Bibles to Lifeline this year! We are hoping this helps students become more familiar with the habit of opening up and reading from their Bible; it will also help them more easily follow along with the teaching at Lifeline!

Huddle

Next week we will be kicking off Huddle. When students check-in they will be directed to a designated area for your small group, where they can find you and the other students in your group. Spend some time doing high’s and low’s from the week, or just chatting about whatever you all want. Once Huddle is over your group is free to go do any of the hangout activities we have, or they can continue hanging out and talking!
