January 29 - Middle School

What we’re learning this week:

As a follower of Jesus, we often work really hard to exhibit things like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; We know these are the very habits and practices that should mark our lives, but how do we get them? During this teaching, Luke will talk about how prioritizing the life, ministry, and your own living-breathing relationship with Jesus can lead to your life reflecting the things he cares about.

Bottom Line: The fruits of the Spirit grow from the roots of relationship.
Scripture: John 15:1-8; Galatians 5:22-23

Car ride home questions:

Below are some questions you can ask your student about the teaching tonight as you help them unpack what they’ve been learning.

  1. Based on tonight’s teaching, what do you think is your next step in becoming the person God wants you to be?

  2. The bottom line for tonight was: The fruits of the Spirit grow from the roots of relationship. Help me understand what that exactly means!
