January 29 - Middle School
What we’re learning this week:
As a follower of Jesus, we often work really hard to exhibit things like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; We know these are the very habits and practices that should mark our lives, but how do we get them? During this teaching, Luke will talk about how prioritizing the life, ministry, and your own living-breathing relationship with Jesus can lead to your life reflecting the things he cares about.
Bottom Line: The fruits of the Spirit grow from the roots of relationship.
Scripture: John 15:1-8; Galatians 5:22-23
Car ride home questions:
Below are some questions you can ask your student about the teaching tonight as you help them unpack what they’ve been learning.
Based on tonight’s teaching, what do you think is your next step in becoming the person God wants you to be?
The bottom line for tonight was: The fruits of the Spirit grow from the roots of relationship. Help me understand what that exactly means!
Things to know:
-
We are encouraging our students to bring a physical bible to Lifeline this year! We’re going to be more intentional about opening it up and reading for ourselves as we walk through a teaching. If you our your student need assistance getting a bible, don’t hesitate to talk with our staff!

We have launched a new Grow resource page to help students take practical next steps in areas of their faith. Some are more devotional in nature while others are meant to be a bit more information to help grow their understanding. A student can walk through these alone or it could be something you go through with them. The current topics we have are all available here on our Grow page.
