Mission Trip: Belize

Dates: July 5-12
Cost: $1650

Students have the opportunity to serve in the wonderful country of Belize! Serving alongside a couple churches, students will write, organize and put together a vacation bible school for children in the area as well as help with any service projects and food distribution.

This trip is a great opportunity to put into practice the love of Jesus you have experienced and to learn from others! Our main goal in going to Belize is to help local churches to continue to reach their communities, let them know about the church and put on a great summer children's program

Is this trip for you/your student?
We would love for you to apply! Students interested in breaking out of their comfort zone and sharing Jesus welcome! We recommend that this is a great trip for students who have participated in Serve GR or other trips prior to this trip.

What is the process?
We do hope to take as many students as possible! There is a limit, however, on how many students will join. Once the application is complete, Lifeline will choose the team based on experience, involvement in Lifeline, and other factors. Please join us in praying; and ask God to help meet you as you decide if this trip is right for you!

IMPORTANT: Please note that there will be 3-4 pre-trip meetings during the Spring/Summer that are mandatory. These dates are below:

  • Sunday April 27, 1-2:30

  • Sunday May 4, 12:30-2:30

  • Wednesday June 11, 7:00-9:00pm

  • Sunday June 22, 1:00-3:00

  • Praying Pelican takes safety seriously on our mission trips. While being accompanied by three or more Ada Bible Staff, there will also be five adult leaders. Throughout the entire trip, there will be Praying Pelican Staff (from Belize) with us the entire time. We will mainly be with the churches and on their property, or at a park while students are doing ministry. While doing home visits or food distribution, we will always be with Praying Pelican Staff.

Things can always happen anywhere, but if we are in cities or more populated areas, we will again be with staff at all times and do not have students leave their items anywhere unattended.

  • Yes, this is where students will brainstorm, write, and practice much of their ministry they will be doing in Belize! We recognize this is summer and vacations may be planned. Students must attend three out of four meetings.

  • We know this trip can be costly! We have also seen students raise more money than required, which is an amazing way the Lord works even before we leave. Students will be provided with sample letters, pictures, social media ideas and more to help provide what students need to help raise funds for their trip.

  • The cost of the trip covers accommodations, all meals, flights, meetings, a shirt, Praying Pelcian workbook and supplies. Everything is covered for students that is needed.

There is an excursion on the last day (snorkeling) that is about $40 that is not included and students would need to bring cas. Spending money for souvenirs and snack money (ice cream, snacks) is not included.
