What we’re learning this week:
Tonight, we will look at the question, “Who does God love?” through the Parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15 and see that God’s love is bigger than we expect and more gracious than we deserve. Jesus shows us that the Father welcomes both the rebellious and the self-righteous, not because they’ve earned it, but because He is compassionate and eager to restore what was lost. God loves everyone, and His invitation is for each of us to come to Him humbly, whether we feel far away or think we’ve done everything right.
Bottom Line: God’s love is for everyone
Scripture: Luke 15:11-31
Small Group Time:
In the story of the Prodigal Son, which character do you relate to more right now—the younger son, the older son, or neither? Why?
The older brother struggled because grace felt unfair. When have you felt like something was unfair in your life or in faith?
What does that reveal about your heart?
The younger son had to come to a point where he “came to his senses.” What do you think that looks like in a real teenager’s life today?
If it’s true that God loves everyone, how should that shape the way we treat people we disagree with or think are “in the wrong”?
