What we’re learning this week:
This week we are kicking off our new series titled Holy Week. We’ll be walking through the final week of Jesus’ ministry on Earth leading up to His death and resurrection. This week we are focusing on Palm Sunday. The moment when Jesus enters Jerusalem knowing what is ahead of him and yet He still marches on for our sake. We’ll talk about how Jesus knows everything that we have ever done. Every failure, every weakness, and yet he still chose to give his life for us!
Bottom Line: Your King comes to you Scripture: Matthew 21:1-11
Discussion Questions:
LEADER TESTIMONY: What were some ideas you had about Jesus before you came to know who He truly is? How did the Gospel reveal to you the deep love and affection that God has for you, and how did that reshape who Jesus was to you?
What are some ideas of who Jesus is that you have had in the past? A King, Messiah, a Prophet, the Son of God? Who do you think He is now?
Have you ever had a time in your life where something happened that you didn’t know was coming? How did you react in that moment?
How does knowing that Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to Him and yet He still willingly gave His life make you feel? What are some ways in your life that you can show gratitude to Jesus for His sacrifice?
Jesus knew and yet. Is there anything in your life right now that makes you feel far from God, or not worthy of his love? How can reminding yourself of the truth of the Gospel and Jesus’ love and sacrifice bring freedom to that thing that you are battling?
