October 15
What we’re learning this week:
What makes Jesus... different? Different from other religions, different from other ways of life, different than just doing your own thing? During this teaching, we will discover that the grace of God for us while we were sinners is different than anything else have experienced! During this teaching, students will be given the opportunity to respond to God’s grace by committing to following Jesus with their life.
Bottom Line: Jesus’ grace is the difference
Scripture: Ephesians 2:1-5

Small Group Time:
This week, you have the important role of
A) helping students understand and celebrate God’s grace and
B) Identify which students received Christ for the first time so you can follow up with them!
This guide should help you accomplish both of those roles!
To start off our time together, we want to celebrate if there was anyone who decided to receive Jesus’ grace for the first time tonight! Is there anyone that decided to follow Jesus? (Leader: have students cheer/clap/hoot/holler and then offer a prayer for any students who received Christ)
Jesus acknowledges the problem of sin: How would you define the word, “Sin” and why is it a problem?
Jesus gives us grace: How would you define the word, “Grace” and why do you need it?
Jesus did not save you because you are good – so why should we follow his ways if he gives us grace?
When was the time you first received Christ as your savior?
