What we’re learning this week:
Everyone is hungry for something. The question is whether we're trying to satisfy that hunger with things that leave us wanting more, or with a personal relationship with Jesus, which is the only thing that truly satisfies. Put Jesus first and satisfaction will follow.
Bottom Line: You must invest in your personal relationship with Jesus to experience true satisfaction.
Scripture: John 6:1-13 & John 6:66-69
Small Group Discussion:
Use this time to help students see that Jesus meets them in their own “ordinary” (school, sports, home, etc.) and is asking them for their next yes too. Discuss 1-3 questions and end by sharing prayer requests and praying together
What are some of the things you might turn to for satisfaction, relaxation, or escape?
On a scale from 1-10, where would you say your love for Jesus—just for who He is rather than what He can give you—is at?
Would you say the things you’re doing on a day-to-day basis are increasing or decreasing your love for Jesus?
What’s something you can start or stop doing that would increase your love for Jesus and satisfaction in Him?
