What we’re learning this week:
Tonight we are walking through the story of when Peter walked on water with Jesus. Through Peters story our students will learn that although in seasons of loneliness we may take our eyes off of Jesus, Jesus never takes His eyes off of us. That Jesus is ready to rescue us from the doubts, fear, and lies we face; all we need to do is grasp onto to Him.
Bottom Line: You are never alone because Jesus is right there with you with an outstretched arm ready to rescue you immediately

Small Group Discussion:
Use this time to help students see that Jesus meets them in their own “ordinary” (school, sports, home, etc.) and is asking them for their next yes too. Discuss 1-3 questions and end by sharing prayer requests and praying together
When in your life have you felt alone or lonely/have you ever felt alone or lonely?
What are some lies, fears, or doubt you have about yourself or Jesus that distract you from the love he has for you?
How can you invite Jesus to rescue you from these lies, fear and/or doubts? Prayer, talking to your leader, memorizing Bible verses, listening to worship songs?
End your time in small group having your students spend time alone in prayer to God inviting Him into any of the areas they feel alone/lonely or into any of the lies, fears and doubts they believe.
