March 25

What we’re learning this week:

Being young can sometimes make you feel like you have to wait until later in life to really matter, but the Bible teaches something different. In 1 Timothy 4:12, Paul reminds the young leader, Timothy, not to let others look down on him because of his age, but to set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Our ability to make a difference doesn’t come from believing in ourselves, but from belonging to Jesus and being shaped by Him.

Bottom Line: Be an example for others
Scripture:
1 Timothy 4:12

Car ride home questions:

  1. Where do you think Jesus might be inviting you to set an example this week—at school, with friends, or somewhere else?

  2. As a family, how can we encourage each other to live in a way that reflects Jesus in our speech, actions, and love for others?
