November 5
What we’re learning this week:
Tonight we will see that Paul reminds both the Jewish and Gentile believers that no one is righteous on their own — everyone has fallen short of God’s standard. We can’t fix our brokenness by comparing ourselves to others or pretending everything’s fine. However we know, it is only through faith in Jesus, not by our own efforts, we’re made right with God and given a new kind of life that rests in His grace, not our performance.
Bottom Line: We’ve all fallen short, but Jesus makes us right.
Scripture: Romans 3:23-24
Car ride home questions:
What was one thing from tonight that helped you understand what it means to be made right with God through Jesus?
Can you think of a time when you were trying to earn someone’s approval — and how that compares to the way Jesus gives His love and grace freely?
Upcoming Events:
All middle school students, including incoming sixth graders, are invited to a night of fun at the Knapp Street Campus. We’ll have some games, music, a quick teaching, and time to hangout with friends as a way for us to celebrate a new year of Lifeline!
We can't wait for another year of life changing truth, experiences and relationships and look forward to the first night of the Lifeline year!
Guys Night is a event for all the Middle School guys who are a part of Lifeline. This event is a great way for our students to connect with others and have fun, and we want this to be an easy opportunity for your students to invite a friend to come experience the Lifeline community!
Girls Night is an event for all the Middle School girls who are a part of Lifeline to come together for fun night of community! This a great way for our students to connect with others and have fun, and we want this to be an easy opportunity for your students to invite a friend to come experience the Lifeline community!
This is a night for parents to come visit Lifeline and meet their student’s small group leader and hear from our Lifeline staff about what we're doing at Lifeline this year.
We so super excited to be partnering with SpringHill Camps for our winter retreat called Snow Camp! We will be returning to SpringHill camps for another amazing weekend filled with fun, tubing, worship, teaching, small group conversations and more.
