What we’re learning this week:

Tonight we will see that Paul reminds both the Jewish and Gentile believers that no one is righteous on their own — everyone has fallen short of God’s standard. We can’t fix our brokenness by comparing ourselves to others or pretending everything’s fine. However we know, it is only through faith in Jesus, not by our own efforts, we’re made right with God and given a new kind of life that rests in His grace, not our performance.

Bottom Line: We’ve all fallen short, but Jesus makes us right.

  1. What was one thing from tonight that helped you understand what it means to be made right with God through Jesus?

  2. Can you think of a time when you were trying to earn someone’s approval — and how that compares to the way Jesus gives His love and grace freely?
