What we’re learning this week:

Tonight we will see that Romans 10:9–15 shows that salvation is simple to receive; that is to believe in your heart, confess Jesus as Lord, and the best part is that it's available to everyone! Also, once we’ve received that hope, God calls us to share it so others can hear and believe as well. God chooses to work through ordinary people, like us, to share Christ to the world.

Bottom Line: Jesus is Hope for the World
Scripture:
Romans 10:9-15

Small Group Time:

  • According to verses 9–10, what does Paul say is necessary for someone to be saved?

    • Why do you think Paul emphasizes both believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth?

  • When did the truth of Jesus (His lordship, His resurrection, His grace) first really “click” for you personally?

  • Have you ever felt nervous or unqualified to share your faith? Why?

  • What is one simple, realistic step you could take this week to help someone “hear” about Jesus?

Next Week

We are off next week, because of Thanksgiving, however the week after that we will be diving into Romans 10:9-15. Within this passage Paul challenges believers, by asking how the world can know Jesus unless we tell them about who He is. We will challenge students to begin evangelizing to those around them or atleast consider what that would look like in their lives.
