What we’re learning this week:

This week we will look at the very first days of the early church in Acts 2. When 3,000 people believed in Jesus, the disciples had to figure out “Now What?” for this brand-new community of faith. Their answer was to build around five key practices: Evangelism, Discipleship, Community, Service, and Worship. These same pillars can create a healthy environment for our faith to grow today.

Bottom Line: A healthy faith grows in the right environment.
Scripture: Acts 2:41-47

Small Group Time:

Discuss 1-3 questions
Share prayer requests and pray

  1. If you could design your own “perfect day”, what would it include?

  2. Why do you think what we “take in” (food, media, friendships, habits) has such a big impact on who we become?

  3. In Acts 2, the early church built their lives around Evangelism, Discipleship, Community, Service, and Worship.

    1. Which one of those feels easiest for you?

    2. Which one feels hardest?

  4. How does being part of a group like Lifeline help us create a healthy environment for faith to grow?

  5. What’s one small step you can take this week to grow in one of the five pillars?

Next week preview:

Next week we’ll look at the story of Paul — a man who seemed like the last person God would choose to use. But through Jesus, Paul’s life was completely changed by grace. The good news for us is that if grace is big enough for Paul, it’s big enough for you too.
