What we’re learning this week:
This week we are kicking off our new series titled Holy Week. We’ll be walking through the final week of Jesus’ ministry on Earth leading up to His death and resurrection. This week we are focusing on Palm Sunday. The moment when Jesus enters Jerusalem knowing what is ahead of him and yet He still marches on for our sake. We’ll talk about how Jesus knows everything that we have ever done. Every failure, every weakness, and yet he still chose to give his life for us!
Bottom Line: Your King comes to you Scripture: Matthew 21:1-11
Car-ride Home Questions:
What is something you learned tonight that you didn’t know?
What feelings does Holy Week bring up for you?
Upcoming Events:
We can't wait for another year of life changing truth, experiences and relationships and look forward to the first night of the Lifeline year!
This weekend is a chance for us as High School Lifeline to take a step away from the business of the fall season and take some time to rest and focus on Jesus. We'll have some games, teaching and worship, but there is a lot of free time in our schedule to just sit and chat with other students and scheduled time to spend reading, journaling and in prayer.
Christmas Dinner is our annual get together with all of High School Lifeline. We enjoy a meal together, sing some Christmas songs, and hear a teaching from the bible as we head into Christmas and winter break. We also encourage students to dress up in their best Christmas sweater!
Snow Camp is our annual winter retreat for all of Lifeline. This year, we will have an exclusive weekend retreat experience for just our High School students!
Our Lifeline staff has a fun weekend planned to celebrate and encourage our senior students and their leaders. We’ll be staying in downtown Grand Rapids for the weekend!
Small Group Night is a night dedicated to investing in the relationships within a Lifeline small group. Each group plans together a night out to simply hang out together, have fun, conversation and create some memories.
