October 8

What we’re learning this week:

As we begin a new series walking through the letter of Ephesians, we discover that Paul wrote to a specific group of people in a specific time; and while these people lived 2000 years ago in a whole different part of the world, we can relate to their experience. Students will be reminded that the love of God displayed in Jesus gives them a more secure identity and stable footing than any feelings of being new, experiencing change, and living under pressure.

Bottom Line: You are welcomed into God’s family
Scripture: Ephesians 1: 3-14

Car ride home questions:

  1. How often would you say you think about God’s love for you?

  2. Of the three words that described the Ephesians, which do you relate to most? (New, Change, Pressure)
