April 27 - High School

What we’re learning this week:

We’ve arrived at our last series of the school year! During this two-week series, we are going to explore what it looks like to bring the hope of Jesus to the world. For our first teaching, we get to hear from the Ada Bible Young Adults director, Sam Schubkegel. What does knowing Jesus look like? It’s like waking up from a dream and realizing real life just started. Once you're awake, you're appointed to wake up others so that we can love and enjoy God together forever.

Bottom Line:  Wake up! Knowing Jesus is like waking up—and once you're awake, it's your mission to wake up as many others as you can.

Scripture: Ephesians 5:8-14

Small Group Time:

  1. Have you ever been woken up in a really dramatic way—like someone dumping water on you or blasting music? What happened?

  2. When in your life have you felt the most awake to God or spiritually alive? What was happening in that season?

  3. What are some signs that someone is spiritually asleep even if they say they believe in God?

  4. Think about your circle—friends, teammates, classmates. Who’s someone you feel God might be calling you to “wake up”?

  5. What’s one way you want to live differently this week because of this message?

Next week preview:

Next week, we continue our final series of the year with a conversation on evangelism! We have the key to “saving the world” in the good news of Jesus who gave his life on the cross and transforms ours! Students will learn practical ways to share their faith with others.
