Merry Christmas to all! As we take an evening to focus on Christmas together as one High School Lifeline community, we will have the opportunity to hear from lifeline students about how God has spoken hope and joy into their story in the midst of difficulty. Students will be challenged to not give up on the God who speaks into the silence.

Other nations
Our city and neighborhoods
Praying through Scripture
The sin in our lives
That we would represent God in our lives moving forward
Students will be exposed to the variety of ways they can pray and will be directed to the Psalms as a great resource to put to words the things they may be feeling and experiencing! We are looking forward to learning and experiencing prayer through the psalms!
It is the final week of our “Not Normal” teaching series! As we conclude this series about relationships, sexuality, and going against the norms of the greater culture around us, we are going to focus on the extravagant grace of Jesus. When the religious leaders bring a woman caught in adultery to Jesus, he shows her his perfect grace and love in a moment when she felt shame and brokenness. Students will be reminded that Jesus has given us the gift of his love, which unlike the often conditional love experienced from others. This week is an invite night and students are encouraged to bring a new friend to experience Lifeline!

Read MoreWe will be hearing from 3 leaders at each campus as they answer questions about relationships, sexuality, and following Jesus. They will be tackling topics like God’s grace, God’s calling in our lives, and how we should view relationships as Jesus followers.
Read MoreAs we continue our Not Normal teaching series, we will discuss the common misconception that we often live into: That God only cares about the spiritual part of our lives. This belief can cause us to diminish sexual sin, dismiss God’s calling on our lives, and place our faith journey into a smaller box than it was ever intended to be placed in. Students will be reminded that because God created us and redeemed us, we are called to follow him with all of us.
Read MoreAs we begin our series about relationships and sexuality, we will look at the story of Joseph in the Old Testament. Joseph had hundreds of reasons to go his own way and sin against God. In walking through Joseph's background and the cultural norms of his day, students will be asked to consider the many reasons why they would have to go their own way. Students will be compelled to begin this series with a commitment to trust God and align themselves with His ways just like Joseph did.
Read MoreAs we conclude our Theology for Regular Folks series, this week’s discussion night is about the church. While it’s common to perceive the church as merely an event that you go to, God’s idea of the church is that it would be a family that His people are a part of. Students will be challenged and encouraged to fully engage in the family of God by seeing themselves as a key part of God’s kingdom here and now!
Read MoreOne of the fundamental questions many people wrestle with is, “what happens after you die?” When we look at what Scripture says, students will be reminded of the hope that Jesus brings and take seriously the task of telling others about the grace of God that is available to them.
Read MoreWe are tackling two big theological topics: humanity and the Spirit. By looking at Romans 8 and the story of redemption in the Biblical narrative, we’ll determine why our human nature is the way that it is and how God redeems it. All humanity has a natural thirst for God, but we attempt to quench that thirst in the wrong ways: by following the desires of our “flesh”. The truth we will discover is how we were made to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to follow His desires.
Read MoreThe focal point of the Christian faith is Jesus Christ. During week two of Theology for Regular Folks, we will discuss who Jesus is and consider how we respond to him. This conversation is a significant “define the relationship” moment for our students to consider how Jesus impacts their life now and forever.
