March 23 - High School
What we’re learning this week:
How do you grow as a follower of Jesus? How can I prioritize God instead of worldly things? How can I overcome temptation in my life? These are among the many questions that were asked when we surveyed students in January. During this series, we are going to get practical by showing students how their faithful pursuit of Jesus day by day can put them in position to live the life God has called them to live. This week, we will be talking about the fact that being faithful to the work God has called you to each and every day will end up making a lasting impact for His Kingdom.
Bottom Line: The great work of your life will be shown by what you do consistently.
Scripture: Nehemiah 2:17-18, 6:2-3, 6:15-16
Small Group Time:
Use this small group time to help your students discern and declare what their “great work” might be.
For those of us who were at Lifeline last week, how did the whole seven day habit challenge go? What did you learn? Are you going to try to keep it going?
This week, we unpacked the idea of doing something good for the glory of God and in the service of others… is there a habit or practice in your life right now that you would say checks those boxes? Share it with the group!
What is the biggest adversary or distraction of your “great work” right now?
Is there a commitment that God is inviting you to make tonight to leave the sidelines and engage in something good?
Leader share: Talk about why you decided to join Lifeline as a volunteer and what has kept you going in serving your group.
Next week preview:
Next week is baptism night! We look forward to celebrating this special next step in the faith journey of students at each campus!
