September 29 - High School

What we’re learning this week:

One of the fundamental questions many people wrestle with is, “what happens after you die?” When we look at what Scripture says, students will be reminded of the hope that Jesus brings and take seriously the task of telling others about the grace of God that is available to them.

Bottom Line:  Eternity, for the Christian, is complete joy in the presence of God.
Scripture: Revelation 21:1-8; Romans 6:23

Small Group Time:

This is a big week for unpacking the teaching in small group as it is certainly a heavy topic! As you’re working through some of these questions, make sure to bring a level of weight to the conversation that seems warranted for your group.

  1. What is one truth that you need to remember from tonight’s teaching?

  2. What is one action step God may be inviting you to take in response from tonight’s teaching?

  3. Is there someone in your life who hasn’t accepted the gift of grace that Jesus offers them? Let’s take time in the group to pray for them right now.

  4. How can you make your faith journey more about worshiping God now than it is about just waiting for eternity?

  5. Have you ever tried to tell your friends about Jesus? How did it go? What has worked and what hasn’t work as well?

Next week preview:

Next week is our first discussion night!! Discussion night is a night of discussion-based teaching in circles. We will be concluding our first series by discussing the role of the church in the life of the believer! Students will be challenged to engage in the church body by participating in a family instead of simply attending an event.
