February 4
What we’re learning this week:
Life often feels overwhelming when we try to keep everything under control, but Jesus invites us to come to Him for rest. Throughout the Bible, Sabbath teaches us to stop striving and trust that God is in control. That rest is ultimately found in Jesus, who is gentle, trustworthy, and cares for us.
Bottom Line: Sabbath is resting because you trust that God is in control, not you.
Scripture: Matthew 11:28–30

Which part of the balloon game felt the most stressful—and why?
What are some of the “balloons” in your life right now that feel hardest to keep in the air?
When good things in your life start to feel stressful, what do you usually do—try harder, avoid it, or ask for help? Why?
Why do you think God taught the Israelites to rest and trust Him with manna instead of letting them collect as much as they wanted?
Jesus says, “Come to me… and I will give you rest.” What do you think it looks like to actually go to Jesus when you’re stressed or overwhelmed?
What is one small way you could practice Sabbath—or trust Jesus more—this week?
