What we’re learning this week:

In this discussion night, we will be hearing from our residents on how to share the Good News with the way we talk to others. Often, “sharing the Gospel” can seem so intimidating and make others uncomfortable, but what if it doesn’t need to be that way? Sharing the Gospel is less about quoting scripture and more about making the Truth of Jesus Christ good news to an individual's circumstance.

Bottom Line: The Gospel is Good News for everyone!
Scripture: Romans 10:9-15

Small Group Time:

Discussion/Small Group tonight will happen within the program space!

  • Break 1:

    • What makes sharing the Gospel uncomfortable?

    • What makes people hearing the Gospel uncomfortable?

  • Break 2:

    • How has the Gospel personally impacted your life or someone you know? Be specific.

  • Break 3:

    • Using the formula “I’ve noticed you seem __________, something that has helped me with that is _______. Have you ever __________ before?” Share the Good news with someone who:

    • Has frequently spoken about staying up really late staring at a screen on a school night and is constantly tired during the day.

    • What’s the deeper need?

    • What good news about Jesus do they need to hear?

    • Is constantly expressing how life is super busy for them.

    • Has a family member struggling with an illness.

    • Who is one person in your life that could hear some Good News? How can you tell them?

Next week preview:

Next week we will be talking about the process of sanctification and how we are called to live according to the Spirit rather than our own flesh and it’s desires.
